New Delhi: Delhi University has issued a notice warning applicants against submitting artificial intelligence-generated, digitally altered or heavily edited documents during the UG and PG admission process.The notice said it has come to the admission branch’s attention that “several candidates applying for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are uploading AI-generated, digitally altered, or heavily edited documents.”Calling such practices a threat to the integrity of admissions, the university said, “Applicants are hereby strictly warned that such practices undermine the integrity of the admission process.”Meanwhile, in the first round of undergraduate admissions, DU offered seat allocations to 93,033 candidates. Of these, 81,979 candidates, or 88.12%, have accepted their allotted seats, according to the latest data released Sunday.So far, 45,316 candidates have confirmed their admissions, accounting for 48.7% of the total allocations. Meanwhile, payment links have been generated for 33,383 applications as the admission process continues.Once colleges complete the verification process, candidates whose applications are approved can pay the admission fee by 11:59pm, July 21, to confirm their admission.The admission process will then move to the second CSAS allocation round. The second allocation list will be declared Saturday noon, July 25. Candidates allotted a seat in this round can accept their allocation between July 25 and 11.59pm, July 26.Colleges will verify and approve applications received under the second allocation from July 25 until 11.59pm, July 27. Candidates whose applications are approved must complete the online fee payment by 11.59pm Tuesday, July 28, to secure their admission.
