Arab Parliament condemns Iranian remarks against UAE, calls them dangerous escalation

Cairo, May 7 (SANA) Arab Parliament Speaker Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi on Wednesday condemned the “hostile and provocative” Iranian remarks directed at the United Arab Emirates, calling them a dangerous escalation and a violation of international norms.

In statements published on the Arab Parliament’s official website, Al Yamahi said the comments reflected continued efforts to fuel regional tensions and undermine stability. He stressed that the Arab Parliament rejects any interference in the UAE’s internal affairs or attempts to infringe on its sovereignty.

He added that the security and stability of the UAE remain a “red line,” reaffirming the Parliament’s full support for the country.

Al Yamahi also called on the international community to pressure Iran to abide by principles of good neighborliness, international law and the United Nations Charter.

The remarks came after the UAE condemned statements issued by Iran’s Foreign Ministry regarding Abu Dhabi’s cooperation with the United States, rejecting threats against its sovereignty and national security.

The UAE has previously reported attacks targeting an ADNOC-operated oil tanker and the Fujairah oil facilities zone, incidents that drew widespread regional and international condemnation.
