As a result of the attack on the vessel GOLDEN LEO, which was leaving the port of Odesa, four Indian citizens were killed, and one more is in critical condition in hospital.

This was stated by Reuters, citing a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Monday, July 20, Ukrinform reports.

“India condemns such attacks and reiterates that targeting commercial shipping and endangering innocent civilian crew members, or otherwise impeding freedom of navigation and commerce, is deplorable and should be avoided,” the ministry said.

According to India’s foreign ministry, four Indian citizens were killed in the attack on the vessel, and another remains in critical condition in hospital.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 19 the Russian army launched a missile strike on a civilian vessel sailing under the flag of Guinea-Bissau. At the time, five crew members were reported killed, eight were evacuated, and the fate of five others remained unknown.

According to the Ukrainian Navy, the Russian occupiers struck the civilian bulk carrier GOLDEN LEO (flag of Guinea-Bissau, owner Turkey), which was leaving the combat zone with a cargo of grain, with three Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missiles.
