Ayo Edebiri Adds Graphic Chanel Pumps to a Leather Look

Ayo Edebiri brought one of Matthieu Blazy’s new Chanel shoes into Midtown on Friday, wearing a white-and-black pair of the house’s spring 2026 pumps on her way to “Today.”

The actress wore Chanel’s spring 2026 two-tone heels, a white style outlined in black patent along the topline and a narrow black strip down the vamp. The pair featured a squared-off toe, a V-shaped vamp and a slim heel.

Edebiri paired the pumps with an all leather look from Chanel pre-fall 2026. Her collarless jacket featured a slightly elongated cut, complete with patch pockets, visible seams and green-and-gold buttons, while the straight-cut pants’ buttoned side openings near the ankle helped the graphic pumps pop. She completed the look with a burgundy top-handle bag and black Chanel sunglasses. The look was styled by Danielle Goldberg.

“The Bear” star’s shoe choice places her squarely inside Blazy’s earliest Chanel vocabulary. His spring 2026 debut for the house included several takes on two-tone footwear, but this pair moved away from the classic cap-toe formula and leaned into sharper linear contrast.

Edebiri was named Blazy’s first Chanel ambassador last October ahead of his debut show for the French house. Since then, she has been one of the house’s most visible new faces, with Chanel looks that track closely to the designer’s first months at the label.

Friday’s “Today” stop came as Edebiri promotes her Broadway debut in the first revival of David Auburn’s “Proof,” the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning play now running at the Booth Theatre. She stars opposite Don Cheadle as Catherine, the daughter of a brilliant mathematician, in a story that turns on grief, inheritance and the question of who gets believed when genius enters the room.
