Both EVs now qualify for the UK Government’s Band 1 Electric Car Grant, making both electric city cars eligible for a £3,750 purchase incentive. The grant applies to all variants of the Fiat 500e, while the Abarth 500e hatchback and convertible also qualify under the scheme.
Combined with Fiat’s earlier price repositioning, the grant reduces the entry price of the Fiat 500e to £17,245, including the subsidy. The Abarth 500e is now available from £24,245, while the Abarth 500e Convertible starts at £27,245, also including the grant.
The UK Government’s Electric Car Grant is available only to vehicles that meet specific environmental and sustainability criteria.
“This is another significant step from Fiat in making electric mobility even more accessible to a wider audience,” said Kris Cholmondeley, Managing Director of Fiat UK. “The Fiat 500e is an iconic model that combines style, city-friendly practicality and zero-emissions driving. The introduction of the £3,750 Government Electric Car Grant makes it an increasingly attractive proposition for customers considering the switch to electric.”
