Content Project Market 2025

Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA) is launching the Bangkok International Content Market (BICM, July 20-22) – the country’s first international marketplace dedicated to film, series and animation that aims to advance Thailand as a content hub for Asia.

Taking place at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the event will have exhibition space for more than 500 booths for studios, creators and creative businesses to showcase their projects, services and latest innovations.

More than 80 investors and streaming platforms from around the world are expected to attend the B2B marketplace for networking, investment and co-production opportunities.

Highlights include a pitching platform featuring more than 55 film, series and production-ready projects from Thailand and the Asia Pacific region. They will be vying for the BICM Pitching Awards, including Asian Project Pitching, Thai Project Pitching and Thai Story Pitching, all of them worth around $20,000.

Talks and panel discussions will be hosted with Thai and international industry professionals, offering insights into emerging trends and opportunities within the global content industry.

“BICM2026 marks a significant step in systematically elevating Thailand’s content marketplace to the international level,” said Chakrit Pichyangkul, CEA executive director. He described the market as being more than a showcase platform designed to build a sustainable ecosystem for Thailand’s content industry.

“Thai content holds tremendous potential, particularly in film and broadcasting,” he added. “Every THB1 invested creates an average economic value of THB1.8, demonstrating that the content industry will become one of the country’s key drivers of future economic growth.”

BICM will be held under Thailand Content Market (TCM), a collaborative initiative between CEA and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). TCM will span 12 creative industry sectors, including film, TV and series, Y and Yuri series, animation, games, characters, books and e-learning, art toys, toys, board games, production services and content services. TCM aims to attract more than 300 leading international buyers, over 500 exhibitors and more than 10,000 participants.

CEA previously organised two editions of the Content Project Market, the last of which was held in September last year. CEA is a public agency that operates under the supervision of the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand with the aim to drive the sustainable growth of Thailand’s creative economy.
