KATHMANDU: Kuala Lumpur: Nepal lost to Malaysia by 6 wickets in the Semifinal match of Asian Games Women’s Qualifier today at Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Batting first Nepal scored a total of 126 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in 6 wickets.

In response Malaysia achieved target of 127 runs in just 18.4 overs loosing 8 wickets.

To achieved target fast Malaysia’s Elsa Hunter scored 48 runs, Dhanusri Muhunan 21, Ainna Hamizah Hashim 18, Mahirah Izzati Ismail 14, Wan Julia and Mas Elysa hit 6 runs each and Nur Dania Syuhada and Nur Qalysha hit 2 runs each.

Nepali bawler Riya Sharma took 3 wickets whereas Manisha Upadhayay and Rubina Chhetry took two wickets each. Sita Rana Magar took single wicket.
