Honor will be launching several successors to their Honor Pad 10 in Malaysia in the near future. Dubbed the Honor Pad 20 series, the new tablet series continues their pursuit of achieving PC-like performance in a tablet form factor. As you’d likely surmise from the phrasing, Honor will be releasing not one but several Honor Pad 20 variants in Malaysia.
Honor Pad 20 series – what we know so far
While Honor hasn’t inferred which models of the Honor Pad 20 will come to Malaysia or what their specifications will be, a check on the SIRIM website has revealed that they will be releasing at least two possible models in Malaysia with an Honor Pad 20 Pro with model number MLA-W09, an Honor Pad 20 with model number HEY4-N09 as well as HEY4-W09 and an Honor Pad 20 Pro Smart Bluetooth Keyboard.
This can possibly infer two different storage configuration variants for the base Honor 20 which does tally with global mentions of the design which mention 128GB and 256GB storage configurations or they may possibly infer a 5G-capable and WiFi only variant. It’s a bit too early to tell for now.
While exact specifications for units coming to Malaysia haven’t been made official yet, Honor has listed its broad specifications for the base Honor 20 tablet that have appeared on Honor’s official website in China. Running under the hood is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor paired with Android 16 and Honor Magic OS 10.0 along with 8GB RAM and two potential storage configurations which are 128GB and 256GB though which variant will be deployed to Malaysia is uncertain at the time of writing. Rounding things off is an 8MP camera on the front and the rear. Keeping the Honor Pad 20 powered is a 10,1000mAh battery with 45W wired charging.
Other mentions inferred are 5G-capable and WiFi only variants as well as several RAM/storage permutations with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM, 128GB and 256GB storage options as well as four possible colourways that include Dazzling Pink, Forest Pink, Gray and a bizarre colourway that translates as Extraordinary Graying.
While no official pricing has been announced yet for Malaysia, the website in China does mention an ¥ 2699 price tag for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant which works out to about RM1,638 though pricing in Malaysia will vary due to additional costs like shipping, duties and the like and which exact model they will bring in. For now, there are no exact specifications for the Honor Pad 20 Pro.
