Malaysia: Lockton Sime appoints new COO

Lockton Sime Malaysia has appointed Mr Siva Thangavelu as COO. He brings more than 20 years of financial services experience across banking and insurance to the role.

Prior to his new role, Mr Thangavelu worked with CIMB, Marsh McLennan, Royal Bank of Canada, and HSBC. He joins from Swiss Re.

Mr Thangavelu is also a certified mental health first aider who has led company-wide mental health initiatives, spearheaded digital-inclusion programmes providing refurbished devices to underserved communities and schools and championed CSR projects supporting indigenous villages with solar power and enabling access to clean drinking water.
