Jakarta, IO – UNIQLO Indonesia successfully gathered thousands of sports and wellness enthusiasts through UNIQLO IN MOTION 2026, an immersive community event held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Senayan Park. The “Life’s Better When You Move” event transformed the community event into a vibrant celebration of active urban living.

More than 2,000 participants from 50 sports and wellness communities joined the event, to experience the comfort and performance of UNIQLO’s Sport Utility Wear collection in real-life activities.

Unlike previous years, this year’s edition took a more curated, community-focused approach. Participants joined various workout sessions, ranging from running, yoga, pilates, to HIIT, allowing them to try on the Sport Utility Wear collection that adapts to different movement styles and activities.

Participants and communities came from Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, and Sukabumi, showing how active living has evolved into a collective lifestyle trend.

Participants explored interactive experiences across several zones, including the Activity Zone, Community Space and Sport Gamification Zone. Workout sessions were led by wellknown instructors such as Pishiyoga and Laila Munaf.

The gamification area offered fun challenges like the Padel Serve Challenge, Twister Challenge, Bike Blow Balloon Challenge, and DRY-EX Quick Catch Challenge. Participants were able to experience the flexible, breathable and moisture-absorbing features of UNIQLO’s Sport Utility Wear technology in action.

Key technologies featured in the collection include DRY-EX, AIRism, Ultra Stretch, and UV Protection, designed to support movement comfortably throughout different activities.

“UNIQLO IN MOTION 2026 shows how movement has become part of a broader lifestyle today. It’s not only about exercise, but also about community, comfort, and confidence in daily life. Through Sport Utility Wear, we want to provide clothing that moves with the rhythm of urban lifestyles, from workouts to everyday activities,” said Lisqia Lalantika, Marketing Manager of UNIQLO Indonesia.

The event was also attended by several public figures and content creators, including Luna Maya, Maxime Bouttier, Ibnu Jamil, Jerome Polin, Tatjana Saphira, Kenny Austin, and Sitha Marino.

Fitness and movement have become ways of how urban generations connect, express themselves, and embrace healthier lifestyles.

Clothes That Move With You

UNIQLO’s Sport Utility Wear collection is designed to bridge the gap between sports performance and everyday comfort, making it easy to transition from workouts to daily activities without changing outfits.

The collection’s four signature technologies play a major role in delivering all-day comfort. DRY-EX quickly absorbs and dries sweat during high-intensity activities while helping control odor. AIRism offers a cool, lightweight, and breathable feel perfect for yoga, pilates, or daily wear. Ultra Stretch supports 360-degree flexibility, while UV Protection Wear helps shield the skin from harmful sun exposure.

Public figures attending the event also shared their experiences wearing the collection.

“Today, I’m wearing AIRism UV Protection Ultra Stretch jacket and Active Ultra Stretch leggings. I joined the HIIT session and both the jacket and pants felt so light on my skin. For women, sports attire is really important. They are not just comfy and flexible, they are also stylish and versatile to wear all day,” said Luna Maya.

Meanwhile, Maxime Bouttier, who wore the DRY-EX T-shirt, emphasized the importance of comfort during workouts.

“Comfort is super important when exercising because the right outfit helps you stay focused while moving. UNIQLO’s Sport Utility Wear feels comfortable and stylish at the same time. The DRY-EX technology also stays breathable and dries quickly, especially in Indonesia’s hot weather,” he said.

UNIQLO IN MOTION 2026 helps UNIQLO to support active lifestyles by offering versatile Sport Utility Wear that combines everyday comfort with sports performance in one stylish collection. (des/ast)
