Aktualita, Jakarta — Plans for a protest on August 27, 2026, in the area of the DPR/MPR RI Building, Senayan, Jakarta, are beginning to draw public attention. Several community groups from various regions are preparing to voice their aspirations with different agendas and demands.
The action is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with one of the main issues being the push for the DPR to immediately pass the Asset Forfeiture Bill (RUU Perampasan Aset).
The Jakarta Metro Police previously confirmed that they had received two notification letters regarding the series of aspirations concerning the Asset Forfeiture Bill. The police stated that the series of actions regarding this issue would take place between August 20 and August 28, 2026.

One of the focal points for the action on August 27 is the DPR/MPR RI Building area, Senayan, Jakarta.
The United Pati Community Alliance (AMPB) is one of the groups that has stated it will come to Jakarta to voice its aspirations in front of the parliamentary complex.
Several representatives of the group are reported to have arrived in Jakarta early to prepare for the action.
Demands of the August 27, 2026, Protest
The AMPB is bringing two main demands to the action.
The first demand is for the DPR to immediately pass the Asset Forfeiture Bill. This regulation is considered important as an instrument to strengthen efforts to eradicate corruption and recover assets resulting from criminal acts.
The second demand is a push for perpetrators of corruption to receive harsher sentences. The AMPB is specifically voicing a demand for the implementation of the death penalty for corruptors.
Preparations for the departure of the masses from Pati have also been made. Media Indonesia reported that four large buses were prepared to transport hundreds of participants to Jakarta. The crowd is also carrying a number of attributes containing messages regarding the eradication of corruption.
Masses from Bangkalan Bring a Different Agenda
Although taking place on the same date, not all groups planning to come to Jakarta have identical demands.
The crowd from Bangkalan Regency, East Java, who are members of the Madura Volunteers Guarding President Prabowo’s Program (RMP4), has a different agenda.
The group expressed support for a number of government programs, including the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
However, RMP4 also requested that the implementation of the MBG continue to be evaluated and improved. They believe that a number of governance aspects, including implementation in MBG kitchens, still require improvements so that the benefits of the program can be more optimal.

Police Prepare Security

Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the condition of public security and order in Jakarta remains safe and conducive.
The police also reminded that voicing aspirations is an activity that routinely takes place in the capital city, so security will be adjusted to the development of the situation in the field.
