British Airways has announced it will not resume its flights to Dubai this summer as planned, pushing the start date back until at least October.
The airline suspended most flights to the Middle East shortly after the start of the Iran war, initially stating that flights to Dubai, Doha and Tel Aviv would resume on 1 July.
However, in a new update, British Airways said that it has made further changes to its flying schedule due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
The airline’s flights to Dubai, Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman will continue to be paused until the end of the summer season. They are currently scheduled to resume on 25 October.
Elsewhere, British Airways is reducing its Doha flights from two flights a day to one, which is scheduled to resume on 1 August.
It is also reducing Riyadh flights down to one a day from two. They are set to restart on 8 August.
“We’re keeping the situation under constant review and are directly in touch with affected customers to offer them a range of options,” the airline said in a statement.
“Since the disruption began, we’ve helped thousands of customers return home, operated relief flights, and added additional capacity on key long‑haul routes. We will continue to assess and introduce further flying where possible.”
If any British Airways customers have booked to travel to or from Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh up to and including 31 October, they can request a full refund even if the flight is still set to operate.
If customers prefer to travel at a later date or rebook on a different British Airways route, they can also choose to change their booking without a change fee, although fare differences may apply.
This option is available for flights to or from the destinations mentioned above, as well as Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
