Global travel technology company Dida has entered a five-year strategic partnership with Tsinghua x-lab, an innovation platform at Tsinghua University, to advance travel tech solutions and nurture global talent. The collaboration will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and talent development, marking a significant shift towards ecosystem-level integration between academia and industry.

The partnership was announced at the Dida Engage China Roadshow 2026 in Beijing, attended by over 80 international hotel partners. This initiative aims to bridge academic innovation with the travel industry’s operational needs, facilitating the development of scalable solutions. Professor He Ping, Vice Dean of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, highlighted the synergy between Tsinghua x-lab’s mission and Dida’s global reach. “Dida’s expansive resources and cutting-edge work in travel tech provide our students with a unique platform to tackle real-world industry challenges,” said He.

Dida’s Group CEO, Daryl Lee, emphasised the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and youth-led innovation. He announced the launch of the Global Travel Technology Innovation Competition, set to debut in Europe later this year, aiming to connect young talent worldwide and support the internationalisation of Chinese travel innovations.

The partnership will focus on three core areas: technological development, incubation of research projects, and talent development. By leveraging Tsinghua’s academic strengths and Dida’s global infrastructure, the collaboration seeks to create a more efficient and innovation-driven travel ecosystem
