The highly anticipated 2026 Beijing Auto Show (Auto China 2026) is set to open next week, with organizers revealing the scale of the event.

The event will run from April 24 to May 3, displaying a total of 1,451 vehicles, which includes 181 premieres and 71 concept cars.

The scale of the exhibition has jumped to the top among global auto shows, adopting a dual-venue model that utilizes both the China International Exhibition Center Shunyi New Venue and the Capital International Exhibition Convention Center (CIECC).

Its total exhibition area has reached a record 380,000 square meters, serving as a core window to lead the development and transformation of the global automotive industry.

Mainstream international automakers will showcase their major models, with brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, and Toyota.

Domestic Chinese brands will also display their latest technologies and products, with manufacturers such as BYD, FAW, Geely, and Great Wall Motor expected to deliver a visual impact to the audience.

Brands including Nio, Xpeng, Li Auto, Xiaomi, Zeekr, Aito, and Leapmotor will bring their EV models, which are expected to cover technology routes such as smart pure electric and range-extended vehicles.

Leading supply chain and technology companies from 21 countries and regions have also been attracted to participate, with firms such as Huawei, CATL, and Bosch bringing new products to the massive auto show.

Tesla was not mentioned, indicating that the US automaker may continue its absence from major auto shows in China.

April 24 and 25 are designated as press days, during which the event will be exclusively dedicated to hosting domestic and foreign media journalists. More than 200 press conferences will be held during the show.

The media registration system has already opened for the upcoming event. Journalists must submit their applications online through the official website, with the window remaining open until April 25.

The general public can visit the massive auto display from April 28 to May 3, with visiting hours set between 10:00 and 18:00.
