Bangkok University has been recognized as a model organization advancing Universal Design (UD) at the “UD (Universal Design) Fair for Persons with Disabilities and Well-being for All,” held under the theme “From Law to Life: Design for All, Better Living for Everyone.”
The event was organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, in collaboration with the Foundation for Thai Persons with Disabilities and Thammasat University, with support from the Fund for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Yosachon Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

The Samart Farm Project aims to promote career opportunities for persons with disabilities through smart hydroponic lettuce farming, applying knowledge, technology, and innovation to increase employment opportunities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natthaphob Nimpitiwan, Vice President for Research and Educational Innovation Development, represented Bangkok University and the Pathum Thani Association for Persons with Disabilities in receiving the certificate recognizing Bangkok University as a model organization advancing Universal Design. The recognition highlights the success of the Samart Farm Project, a collaboration between Bangkok University and the Pathum Thani Association for Persons with Disabilities.
