Malaysia-based Hwajing Travel & Tours confirmed that AdoraMediterranea will be coming to Port Klang for an exclusive year-end homeport season, making this the second charter from the China-based cruise line for the agency.

Formerly sailing as Costa Mediterranea under Costa Cruises, the 12-deck vessel was rebranded as Adora Mediterranea in July 2024 and is currently homeported in Guangzhou.

The other Adora Cruises vessel home porting in Port Klang is Adora Flora City, Adora Cruises’ second and newest domestically built ship. Hwajing Travel made the announcement earlier on 19 May, ahead of the ship’s inaugural season this year end.

AdoraMediterranea will offer eight sailings from 24 November to 14 December:

  • 3D2N Port Klang-Penang-Port Klang

  • 4D3N Port Klang-Penang-Langkawi-Port Klang

  • 4D3N Port Klang-Phuket-Port Klang

  • 6D5N Port Klang-Nha Trang-Guangzhou

Adora Flora City sailings will offer two sailings on 9 and 17 December:

For the 2026 Malaysia deployment, all sailings will depart from Port Klang. The onboard experience will also include Muslim-friendly meals and a multilingual service team, including Mandarin-, English- and Malay-speaking crew.

“Malaysia is an important market for Adora Cruises as we expand our international presence,” said Jenny Ye, VP, sales, revenue management & commercial operation, Adora Cruises.

With the collaboration with Adora Cruises, this marks Hwajing Travel’s third international cruise homeport initiative from Port Klang, following its cruise charter programmes with Costa Serena in 2024 and MV Piano Land in 2025.

The deployments underscore the agency’s growing ambition in cruise chartering, while adding a new regional cruise product to Malaysia’s tourism offering.

“Hwajing Travel is honoured to be entrusted by Adora Cruises with this important task as the brand makes its first overseas homeport deployment. This reflects the growing strength of China’s cruise sector and our shared commitment to developing the regional tourism market,” said Kenny Cheong, MD of Hwajing Travel & Tours.
