The UAE summons the Iraqi chargé d’affaires and hands him a protest note

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in the UAE and handed him an official protest note regarding the terrorist attacks. The Ministry stated that these attacks originated from Iraqi territory and targeted the interests and security of the UAE.

During the meeting, the Ministry reiterated the UAE’s strong condemnation of these attacks. It also emphasized its categorical rejection of any activities that threaten the security and stability of the country or harm the safety of its citizens and residents, regardless of their source or motives.

Calls to prevent a recurrence of attacks

The UAE called on Iraq to take the necessary measures to prevent its territory from being used for any hostile acts or terrorist activities targeting neighboring countries. It added that it emphasized the importance of strengthening security cooperation and information sharing to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

Emphasis on bilateral relations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the UAE’s commitment to its fraternal relations with Iraq. It also stressed the importance of joint efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, ensuring that no party is allowed to threaten the security or stability of any country. Furthermore, it affirmed the continuation of diplomatic channels of communication between the two sides to address any future developments.
