Dubai Chambers has entered into a memorandum of understanding with FedEx, described as the world’s largest express transportation company, according to a recent announcement. The agreement aims to assist local businesses in improving their export readiness and speeding up international expansion through logistics, global connectivity, and trade expertise.

The partnership will enable member companies of Dubai Chambers to engage more effectively in global trade. It combines FedEx’s global transportation network, logistics know-how, and trade facilitation capabilities with preferential logistics programs, streamlined onboarding, and customs advisory support.

The initiative targets both small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations, helping them simplify cross-border trade, reach new international markets, and compete globally with increased confidence. The agreement also includes trade facilitation services such as ATA Carnet support, which allows businesses to move goods more efficiently while reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leading global trade hub.

The memorandum was signed at the headquarters of Dubai Chambers by Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, and Nitin Tatiwala, Vice President of Marketing, Customer Experience and Air Network at FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.

AlJarwan commented that the organization is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for the growth of companies in Dubai and enhancing their presence in regional and international markets. He added that this would be achieved through effective partnerships that facilitate trade and improve the services available to the business community. He noted that the cooperation with FedEx represents a significant step in supporting companies with advanced logistics solutions and services that boost export readiness and speed up the delivery of products and services to global markets, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of Dubai’s foreign trade.

Tatiwala indicated that the deal reflects FedEx’s long-standing commitment to supporting the UAE as a global trade and business hub. He stated that the company believes businesses of all sizes should have the opportunity to compete internationally. By combining FedEx’s extensive global network, logistics expertise, and digital capabilities with Dubai Chambers’ strong business ecosystem, the partnership helps companies simplify cross-border trade, strengthen export readiness, and confidently access new international opportunities.
