Public parking in Dubai, excluding multi-level terminals, will be free of charge on Friday, August 28 — the public holiday to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).

Regular parking fees will resume on Saturday, August 29.

Additionally, the RTA’s customer happiness centres will be closed on Friday, although the Umm Ramool centre and smart customer service centres in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Al Kifaf and the RTA’s head office will remain operational 24/7.

Service provider centres (vehicle technical testing) will also be closed, with regular hours resuming on Saturday.

However, Al Mutakamela Al Quoz, Al Mutakamela Al Qusais, Aber and Wasel Al Jaddaf will continue to offer vehicle technical testing and registration services during the holiday (7:00 am – 12:00 noon; 3:00 pm – 10:30 pm).

Public transport services will also operate on adjusted schedules on Friday.

  • Dubai Metro (Red and Green Lines): 5 AM to 1 AM the next day
  • Dubai Tram: 6 AM to 1 AM the next day
  • Public buses: Check the S’hail app for updated schedules
  • Bus route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from August 27 to August 30. Passengers are advised to use bus route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi during this period
