Andhra Pradesh Industries, Commerce and Food Processing Minister T. G. Bharat on Tuesday said the State had secured investment commitments worth ₹20 lakh crore during the first two years of the coalition government, attributing the achievement to the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing a press conference at the State Secretariat, Mr. Bharat said investment proposals worth ₹7.66 lakh crore had already received clearance from the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and were moving towards implementation. He said the government had created a transparent and industry-friendly ecosystem and announced that jobs generated through new investments would be linked to Aadhaar for effective monitoring.

The Minister said the government had streamlined industrial land allotment by empowering the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to approve allocations of up to 50 acres without Cabinet approval. He warned that industries which failed to establish units after securing land would face action, adding that nearly 900 notices had already been issued.

Mr. Bharat said the government planned to establish 175 MSME parks, one in each Assembly constituency, and reiterated its commitment to creating 20 lakh jobs over five years. He expressed confidence that projects such as the proposed Google AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam, Quantum Valley in Amaravati and upcoming electronics manufacturing clusters would generate substantial employment.

The Minister also announced that the government would soon unveil Toy Manufacturing, Furniture Manufacturing and Industrial Housing policies. He said Andhra Pradesh was targeting ₹30,000 crore in food processing investments and highlighted initiatives to promote processing of tomato, mango, citrus, jackfruit and millets. He added that the State would host the Global Partnership Summit in November and claimed that more than 40% of the investment proposals announced earlier had already entered the implementation stage.
