Jason Mraz returns to Malaysia after seven years for Kuala Lumpur concert on Oct 31, 2026, promising hits, new songs and feel-good vibes.

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is set to make his long-awaited return to Malaysia this year, marking his first concert in the country in seven years as part of his Asia Tour 2026.

Organised by Zues Event, the concert, titled Jason Mraz Asia Tour 2026 Live in Kuala Lumpur, will take place at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on October 31, promising an evening of music that spans the American artiste’s extensive catalogue of global hits and newer releases.

Best known for his diamond-certified single I’m Yours, which has amassed more than two billion streams worldwide, Mraz remains one of the most recognisable names in contemporary acoustic-pop music. His return is expected to attract both long-time fans and newer audiences familiar with his uplifting songwriting and genre-blending style.

Celebrated career across music and entertainment

Over the course of a career spanning more than two decades, Mraz has built a reputation for crafting positive, heartfelt songs that draw from a range of influences, including folk, reggae, R&B and disco.

His discography includes several internationally successful tracks such as I Won’t Give Up, Lucky featuring Colbie Caillat, Have It All, I Feel Like Dancing and The Remedy (I Won’t Worry). The singer-songwriter, who began his career performing as a busker and coffeehouse musician, has since released nine studio albums and earned multiple platinum and multi-platinum certifications.

Beyond music, Mraz has expanded his creative pursuits into theatre and television. He appeared in a lead role in Sara Bareilles’ Broadway musical Waitress, served as executive producer of the documentary The Opener, and finished as runner-up in Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars.

Organisers expect strong local response

According to organisers, the upcoming concert aims to deliver a memorable live experience centred on Mraz’s signature optimism and audience engagement.

Jeffery Chin, Director of Zues Event Sdn Bhd, said the concert reflects the organiser’s efforts to diversify its entertainment offerings following recent large-scale events.

“We are continuing the momentum from our recent K-pop concert with a different kind of connection and energy. Many Malaysians grew up listening to Jason Mraz, and his music carries positivity, emotion and authenticity that still resonates strongly today,” he said.

“We believe Jason Mraz’s return to Kuala Lumpur will attract not only his loyal fan base, but also music lovers looking for a feel-good, world-class live performance experience. The night also promises sparks and drone-lit skies.”

Tickets for the concert will go on sale via etix.my on June 11 at 10.50am. Prices range from RM158 for the Signature (Restricted View) category to RM688 for the Jazzy category, excluding applicable fees and taxes. All ticket categories are seated.

The concert is expected to be one of the notable international music events on Malaysia’s entertainment calendar in 2026, bringing one of pop music’s most enduring voices back to local audiences.
