inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Criminal Investigation Agency raided five warehouses containing illegal imported goods in the Jakarta area on Wednesday (4/15/2026).

The Director of Special Economic Crimes, Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, stated that this action was a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto’s directive regarding eradicating smuggling. He stated that the raids resulted in the seizure of thousands of illegally imported cellphones destined for sale in Indonesia.

“The Smuggling Law Enforcement Task Force successfully seized thousands of illegal cellphones from five warehouses,” he explained in a written statement on Thursday (4/16/2026).

Ade explained that of the five warehouses raided, three were located in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, and two were located in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. He further stated that investigators are currently continuing to investigate the case to close the loopholes in the state’s revenue collection from the smuggling of illegal goods.

“This is a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto’s order to eradicate smuggling. The loopholes in the customs sector must be closed,” he said.
