Police Launches Online Reporting Service via Super App

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has launched a new online service for filing official police reports (LP) and reporting lost items. These services are now accessible through the Super App Polri.

The debut of this feature took place during the Polri IT Committee Coordination Meeting for the 2026 Fiscal Year today, April 14, 2026, at the Mercure Ancol Hotel Ballroom in North Jakarta.

National Police Deputy Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo stated that the public can download the Super App Polri from both the App Store and Play Store. This innovation is claimed to offer police services that are increasingly transparent, accountable, and easily accessible to the general public.

Through this innovation, Dedi noted that citizens no longer need to visit a police station for the initial stages of reporting. “Simply through a gadget, the service can be accessed anytime and anywhere in a practical and efficient manner,” he stated in a press release.

Polri has also introduced the Police Report Consultation Engine, an integrated system that allows the public to consult in real-time with officers via video conferencing and live chat. “The entire service process in this system is designed to be open and accountable,” Dedi said.

He mentioned that every stage of the process will be digitally documented. Additionally, the system is equipped with monitoring features, communication history, and performance evaluations to ensure that services remain professional, measurable, and transparent.

The implementation of online reporting for crimes and lost items is being carried out gradually. In this initial phase, the service has been rolled out across the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, West Java Police, and Banten Police. “In the future, this service will continue to be developed and expanded to all regions of Indonesia,” Dedi added.

He emphasized that the digitalization of these services is not merely about adopting technology, but is part of a broader push to improve Polri’s modern, integrated management performance and work culture.

He concluded, “Public services must be carried out with effective, efficient, technology-based procedures, and supported by modern facilities and infrastructure.”
