JAKARTA – The North Jakarta Metro Police’s PPA and PPO units confirmed that the legal process against the suspect of sexual violence against a child with the initials M (49) at the Mayor’s Complex, Cilincing, North Jakarta, continued to the North Jakarta District Attorney’s Office.

“The suspect is still being detained and the file has been sent to the prosecutor’s office, just waiting for P21,” said Head of the North Jakarta Metro Police’s PPA and PPO, Kompol Ni Luh Arsini, when confirmed, Friday, May 29, 2026.

Ni Luh emphasized that the detention of the suspects is still being carried out in the detention cell of the North Jakarta Metro Police.

“The process continues even though there is a peace or a request for a postponement. We still process it because the victim is still a minor,” he said.

According to Ni Luh, the psychological condition of the victim with the initials APC (9) is currently gradually improving.

“The victim has received psychological assistance and has been examined several times,” he said.

The victim also received psychological assistance from the LPPPA. However, until now, the police are still waiting for the results of the psychological examination.

“The condition of the victim is quite cheerful,” he said.

Meanwhile, the case file of suspect M has been sent to the North Jakarta District Attorney’s Office for investigation by prosecutors.

“The file has been sent to the prosecutor, just waiting for the results of the investigation,” he said.

Previously, an underage child was a victim of sexual abuse allegedly committed by a project worker or construction worker at the Mayor’s Complex, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

The victim is known as APC and lives not far from the perpetrator’s house with the initials M.

The perpetrator allegedly carried out the action at the house where he lived. The obscene act is said to have occurred from January to April 2026.

The police then arrested the perpetrator after the victim’s family made a report at the North Jakarta Metro Police.

“The evidence seized was one pair of jeans, a pink T-shirt with a Hello Kitty picture, and one pair of white underwear,” said Kompol Ni Luh, Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Currently, suspect M has been detained at the North Jakarta Metro Police. For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 473 paragraph (2) letter b of the Criminal Code and/or Article 415 letter b of the Criminal Code regarding the crime of rape of children and/or obscene acts.
