Mellitah Oil & Gas has announced the completion of fabrication and assembly work for the Bouri Gas Utilization Project, ahead of schedule. Overall progress has reached 69 percent, exceeding the planned target of 62 percent.
The achievement was celebrated in Ravenna, Italy, in the presence of project contractor Saipem. The development is considered one of the largest strategic investments in Libya’s oil and gas sector.
According to the company, a transport vessel has begun delivering the project modules to the Bouri field in preparation for lifting and installation on Platforms 3 and 4. Once operational, the project is expected to boost gas production and reduce flaring, supporting the goal of eliminating routine gas flaring by 2030.
