Kuala Lumpur and Malaga added to Riyadh Air destinations

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, today unveiled two additional destinations to its growing network, opening ticket sales for flights from Riyadh to Malaga and Kuala Lumpur.

With the addition of these new routes, the airline is now set to serve 8 destinations, including London, Cairo, Dubai, Jeddah, Madrid and Manchester, before early August.

Having already received five aircraft, and with a sixth arriving shortly, Riyadh Air’s Dreamliner fleet has experienced unprecedented growth since the first aircraft arrived on June 5, increasing connections between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and key global, regional and domestic economic, cultural and tourist centres.

Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, said: “With the addition of Malaga and Kuala Lumpur, we continue to further strengthen our network across key markets for business, tourism, and trade, bringing us closer to our goal of connecting Riyadh to more than 100 destinations worldwide by 2030.”

Douglas continued: “Through our growing network, Riyadh Air is now able to offer smooth and convenient onward connections for guests travelling to the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia and beyond.

“We look forward to welcoming guests aboard to experience our distinctive Saudi Hafawa hospitality as we connect these great cities to Saudi Arabia and help redefine the future of air travel.”

Direct seasonal flights to Malaga (AGP), Spain will commence on July 14th and are set to run until September 8th, 2026. While year-round flights to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Malaysia will begin on July 30th.

Flights between Riyadh and Madrid, the only direct connection between the Saudi and Spanish capitals, will commence on July 17th, 2026.

Connectivity with Madrid, the home to Riyadh Air’s official football partners Atlético de Madrid and the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium, represents a further strengthening of cultural and economic ties between Spain and Saudi Arabia, while serving as an important route for business and tourism and further strengthening capital-to-capital connectivity.
