Jakarta, IO – Kejurnas Bolavoli Indoor Antarklub U-18 2026 is ready to bring the heat to Jakarta as 79 volleyball clubs from across Indonesia gear up for the national showdown on May 2-9, 2026.

The tournament will take place at several venues in South Jakarta, including GOR Pasar Minggu, Kompleks Olahraga Ragunan, and GOR Bulungan.

A total of 40 women’s teams and 39 men’s teams will compete in the tournament, representing 21 provinces around the country. The participating clubs earned their spots after making it through regional qualifying events, with the top two teams from each provincial championship advancing to the nationals.

According to organizing committee chairman Maman Abdurahman, the preliminary round matches will be held at GOR Pasar Minggu and Ragunan Sports Complex from May 2-7. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for May 8-9 at GOR Bulungan.

The event is being organized by MAVI DKI Jakarta, PBVSI DKI Jakarta, and PBV Pajaone Jakarta, who are also serving as hosts.

PBVSI DKI Jakarta chairman Munjirin welcomed the event, saying the championship would help boost volleyball development in the capital.

“This tournament is very beneficial for us because it helps keep Jakarta’s volleyball calendar active,” said Munjirin, who also serves as East Jakarta mayor.

Meanwhile, MAVI Central chairwoman Wiji Hastuti said the championship plays an important role in scouting and developing young volleyball talent across the country.

She explained that the competition first started back in 2015-2016 as the U-17 Volleyball Invitation Tournament in Malang before officially becoming a national championship in Yogyakarta in 2017.

“This year’s tournament is for players born in 2009. We’re following the U-18 category used by AVC,” said Wiji Hastuti, better known as Tute. (rp)
