The 2026 Guangdong Quality Products Exhibition opened in Guangzhou on July 24, the provincial capital of Guangdong, offering a new sourcing window for global buyers.

The exhibition is a key pillar of the “Guangdong Goods Go Global” autumn campaign, which was launched concurrently on July 24 to connect high-quality Guangdong-made products with domestic and international markets.

As a provincial-level flagship event promoting Guangdong’s quality products, this year’s exhibition has significantly expanded access for international buyers. Business associations from Uzbekistan, Russia, Spain and Vietnam attended the opening ceremony on July 24 and announced bulk procurement needs.

The Association “National Economic Cooperation of Uzbekistan” brought procurement mandates from over 100 enterprises to the fair, emphasizing that Guangdong’s home appliances, ceramics and light textiles are well suited to the Central Asian market and noting their consistent quality, efficient delivery and strong recognition among local consumers. The association expressed its desire to establish long-term supply and procurement cooperation channels through the fair.

Fazliev Farrukh, chairman of the council of the association, said that Uzbekistan has substantial demand for Guangdong’s construction materials and food products and that the association hopes to bring Guangdong products to Uzbekistan while serving the wider Central Asian region through overseas warehousing and other logistics services.

This year, a curated “Guangdong Quality Products” list was released for the first time at the Guangdong Quality Products Exhibition, recognizing 100 standout local brands and products known for quality, innovation, design and market potential.

Kelly Jia, executive president and secretary-general of the Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce and head of the exhibition’s organizing committee, noted that the exhibition has moved beyond traditional trade show models, embracing a “comprehensive show with professional, market-driven execution.”

She added that the event features 50 thematic matchmaking sessions, industry forums and brand experience activities, catering to both professional business negotiations and consumer engagement.

At the opening ceremony, the Russian-Chinese Trade and Economic Cooperation Association said it hoped to build partnerships with more Guangdong enterprises through the exhibition. The association organizes monthly online and offline matchmaking events between Russian and Chinese companies. Ilya Bannikov, chairman of the association, noted that the Russian market has strong demand for electronic products, auto parts and food industry equipment and that Guangdong manufacturing is highly competitive in these sectors.

Samuel Rodríguez Muñoz, managing director of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in South China, also praised this year’s exhibition, noting that the Spanish market has strong interest in Guangdong’s electric vehicle technology, with brands such as BYD and XPENG leading in sustainable and advanced automotive technologies.

This year’s Guangdong Quality Products Exhibition features seven halls covering home appliances, consumer electronics, apparel and beauty products, toys and cultural creative products, food and ingredients, home textiles and furnishings and products from other provinces. The event has attracted over 6,500 domestic and international buyers, giving a strong boost to the global expansion of sales channels for quality Guangdong products.

Eric Wang, China representative of the Vietnam-China Trade & Investment Consortium, shared insights into the promising prospects for Guangdong products in the Vietnamese market. He noted that Vietnam currently has a population of about 100 million and a per capita GDP of about US$5,000 and is expected to enter a phase of rapid economic growth over the next 5 to 10 years.

Against this backdrop, Vietnam’s demand for consumer goods in terms of variety, quality and personalization is growing, but the country’s domestic supply chain falls short of meeting the demand.

“Guangdong products have clear advantages,” he said, adding that most consumer goods exported to Vietnam from China enjoy tariff exemptions, giving Guangdong products a competitive edge in price, quality, product variety and design capabilities.

“Chinese brands like DJI drones, Anker chargers and UGREEN have gained strong traction in Vietnam, while an innovative peelable candy from Jiangmen, Guangdong, has also successfully built brand presence there,” he said.

The 2026 Guangdong Quality Products Exhibition runs through July 26. This year, nearly 1,000 foreign buyers are expected to attend, a sharp increase from fewer than 300 at the inaugural edition in 2025.
