Data center developer Empyrion Digital has broken ground on a 20MW data center in Bangkok, Thailand, the company announced today.

When completed, the TH1 facility will span over 17,000 sqm (183,000 sq ft).

Located in Bang Na, southeastern Bangkok, the facility is set to go live in Q3 2027. It will be Empyrion’s first data center in Thailand.

Empyrion also announced that it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with fiber provider TCC Technology, which will see the latter provide fiber and connectivity services to customers of TH1.

Memoranda of Understanding are non-binding commitments.

The Singapore-based Empyrion Digital also has data center projects in Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

The company broke ground on its first Taiwan data center, located in Taipei, earlier this January.

Most of Thailand’s data centers are located in and around Bangkok, the country’s capital city.
