Puresil India has commissioned the first fully integrated vertical processing plant for high-purity silica sand and kaolin in India.

The company’s new facility will have an annual production capacity of 450,000 tonnes.

It is equipped with beneficiation, washing, classification, magnetic separation, and drying technologies designed to produce ultra-high purity raw materials with low iron content.

The plant will incorporate highly automated process controls and modern mineral processing systems to achieve consistent particle size distribution, superior brightness, and low contaminant levels required by next-generation glass manufacturers.

Anil Nandaniya, Managing Director and CEO at Puresil India, stated that the investment reflects the company’s long-term vision to support India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy and advanced manufacturing sectors.

He said: “India’s demand for high-purity silica solutions is growing significantly with the expansion of solar glass, electronics, and specialty glass manufacturing.

“Our new integrated processing facility is designed to meet global quality standards.”

Puresil India exports to more than 20 countries, supplying industrial minerals for the ceramics, glass, paint, paper, rubber, and advanced material industries.

In addition to the silica sand and kaolin project, Puresil India has also established one of India’s largest quartz and silica grinding facilities dedicated to industrial applications.

The new grinding unit has an annual production capacity of 180,000 tonnes and features advanced micronising and precision grinding technology for ultra-fine mineral processing.

The facility will primarily cater to fast-growing sectors such as TFT glass, semiconductor materials, electronics, fibreglass, engineered ceramics, and other high-technology applications requiring stringent purity specifications.

The project positions Puresil India among the global suppliers of silica and kaolin solutions for glass manufacturing applications, including solar glass, ultra-clear architectural glass, container glass, and specialty glass segments.
