Devas investors lose UK appeal over India’s immunity

The Court of Appeal in London has affirmed that India’s ratification of the New York Convention did not automatically waive the state’s sovereign immunity in an action brought by investors in Devas Multimedia to enforce a US$194 million investment treaty award.
