Slice For A Slice: Lindsay Jang on Hong Kong, Hustle, and Pineapple Pizza

We’re back with another Slice For A Slice, RADII’s interview series where creatives and tastemakers spill life stories over a casual slice of pizza.

For our second episode—following our inaugural chat with legendary rapper MC Jin—we sat down with Hong Kong’s busiest multi-hyphenate businesswoman: Lindsay Jang. A “restaurateur, entrepreneur, and someone who is undoubtedly couture,” Lindsay is a powerhouse who has been reshaping Asia’s lifestyle and dining scene for over a decade.

Born in Canada, Lindsay’s journey into hospitality eventually led her to Hong Kong, a place she now firmly calls home. She co-founded Yardbird, the city’s most coveted modern izakaya that went on to snag Michelin stars and define Hong Kong‘s dining culture. But her hustle didn’t stop there. From launching the globally popular infrared-heated mat-based sculpt program, Family Form, to opening her latest venture—the bustling seasonal Japanese diner, Always Joy—Lindsay has done it all, and then some.

In this episode, we banter about the cultural tug-of-war between East vs. West, why leaving Asia always makes you miss Asia, and the undeniable magnetic pull that draws so many creatives to open up shop in Hong Kong.

Despite her non-stop schedule managing restaurants, wellness studios, and creative agencies, getting her to drop everything for a chat was surprisingly simple. All it took was offering her favorite, albeit controversial, pizza flavor: pineapple.

Check out the full episode below to hear Lindsay’s thoughts on navigating the modern F&B world, maintaining work-life balance, and what’s next on her ever-expanding plate.
