Four winning tickets took home over HK$55.7 million (US$7.1 million) each for first prize in Hong Kong’s largest Mark Six jackpot.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the city’s sole gambling and lottery operator, also said on Saturday that 36.5 units won HK$347,110 for the second-tier prize, while 1,153.7 units each scooped the third-tier prize of HK$29,280.
The winning numbers on Saturday were 2, 3, 8, 28, 30, 48, with 9 as the extra number.
The total turnover reached about HK$414 million, a more than six-fold increase compared with the previous draw of HK$63 million, and surpassing the HK$402.3 million recorded for the Chinese New Year draw in February.
But the amount still fell short of the turnover record of more than HK$446 million in 2016, when a snowball draw was held to celebrate Mark Six’s 40th anniversary.
Earlier in the day, Hongkongers formed long queues at betting stations for a chance to win a share of the HK$228 million draw.
