Shake Shack Is Reviving Its Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake For A Limited Time

  • Shake Shack is bringing back its Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake nationwide on June 9 for a limited time.
  • The shake, inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate bar, was one of the brand’s biggest limited-time hits last summer.
  • Fans on Instagram seem very happy to have this one back.

Last summer, Shake Shack’s Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake left a pretty lasting impression.

We reviewed it at the time, and writer Megan Schaltegger was won over almost immediately. “I went into the taste test with normal expectations,” she wrote. “I didn’t anticipate disliking the drink by any means (it’s a milkshake, after all). I just wasn’t convinced it would satisfy my craving for Dubai chocolate. I was quickly proven wrong.”

Now, to the joy of fans everywhere, the shake is coming back for another round.

Starting today, June 9, the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake returns to Shake Shack locations nationwide for a limited time. The drink takes its cues from the viral Dubai chocolate bar, with pistachio frozen custard, toasted kataifi, chopped pistachios, and a dark chocolate shell that cracks when you dig in.

According to John Karangis, Shake Shack’s Executive Chef and VP of Culinary Innovation, the team knew it was onto something the first time around. “When we first developed the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake, we set out to do something Shake Shack had never done before—a crackable chocolate shell lining the cup, fresh pistachio paste, and toasted kataifi to capture the signature layers and textures of the viral Dubai chocolate bar,” he said in a statement. “The response from our guests was humbling and told us everything we needed to know. This summer, we’re bringing it back with the same premium ingredients and the same attention to detail that made it our most successful shake to date. For anyone who hasn’t tried it yet, this is your moment.”

The internet, naturally, is ready to risk it all again. “Best 💚 news 🤎 ever 🖤,” one person wrote on Instagram. Another said, “I cannot wait to get one! A great shake to cool off this summer!!!” The Love Island-coded launch video also brought out the appropriate commentary. “I’d like to couple up with this shake plz and thank you,” one fan wrote. Another added, “This is a bombshell if I’ve ever seen one 💚💚🔥👏.”

Schaltegger’s review last year ended with her ditching the straw and going in with a spoon to scoop up the shake’s contents all at once. A drink that inspires that kind of behavior was never going to stay forgotten for long.
