Olympiacos refused Dubai’s second offer for Thomas Walkup

Dubai wanted to acquire Thomas Walkup and made a second offer to Olympiacos, which however responded negatively.

The team from the United Arab Emirates had already made an offer of $600,000 in two installments (300+300), which was rejected, and the same happened now, with an offer for 870,000 euros (around 1 million dollars).

Olympiacos‘ stance has not changed and remains negative, as they are not inclined to let go of the naturalized player with the Greek National Team, the Texan point guard, and as the “red and whites” mention on the issue: “There is nothing to discuss.”

The two parties have a contract remaining until 2027, and the remainder of Walkup’s 33-year-old contract is valued at $1,100,000 and the contract does not include a buyout clause.

In 37 appearances in this year’s EuroLeague, he averaged 5.3 points (76.9% free throws, 47.2% two-pointers, 36.7% three-pointers), 2.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 0.9 steals in 24.4 minutes per game.
