Following much speculation, Katie Price appears to have confirmed that her husband, Lee Andrews, does have a travel ban barring him from leaving Dubai.

It was previously alleged that Lee is unable to leave the United Arab Emirates after he forged his ex-girlfriend’s signature to take out a £200,000 mortgage in her name.

This reportedly ended in jail time and has resulted in him being barred from leaving the country. Andrews denies this.

Now, the former glamour model has commented on said travel ban.

She expanded on the topic while talking with her sister, Sophie Price, on her podcast The Katie Price Show.

In the episode titled Lee’s Travel Ban and My Driving Ban, Katie addressed the rumours.

First off, she began: ‘So of course I’m going back to Dubai and Lee would come over here when he needs to.

‘People have to remember he’s lived in Dubai 21 years. That’s where he lives, that’s where he does his work.

‘There’d be a time one day when he does come to England and he’ll be with me, and we just do vice versa.’

Sophie then asked: ‘I thought he had a travel ban?’

Katie responded: ‘Do you know what? Everyone has said to me, you can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai – a parking ticket or if you owe a bill or something like electricity, you can get a travel ban for absolute anything.’

Her sister responded with shock, remarking that she didn’t know that.

The Daily Mail has reported that, according to Chambers and Partners, an unpaid parking ticket in Dubai is unlikely to result in a travel ban.

They say if numerous unpaid traffic fines mount up and exceed AED 10,000, they could turn into a civil case resulting in a travel ban.

Katie is facing her own ban on driving after she failed to respond to police letters about an 80mph speeding ticket.

A source told Metro at the time that Katie ‘knows she shouldn’t be behind the wheel’.

The 47-year-old married Andrews in January after a whirlwind romance just a week after meeting.

Since then, Andrews has been accused of fabricating his CV by making claims about a PHD from the University of Cambridge, links to Elon Musk and his status as a millionaire.

He has also been accused of owing $1,000 to a woman and failing to pay it back – Andrews denies this too.

Metro has reached out to Katie Price’s representatives for comment.
