Student safety remains priority

KHDA said the wellbeing of students, staff and families continues to be the top priority across Dubai’s education sector.

The authority also urged the public to depend only on official announcements and avoid circulating unverified information.

Exams to proceed as scheduled

KHDA confirmed that examinations will continue in person as planned under approved academic frameworks.

It added that schools are fully prepared to shift between learning models when required, ensuring uninterrupted education delivery under all circumstances.

Sharjah and Ajman schools return to classrooms

Educational authorities in Sharjah and Ajman have confirmed that schools and nurseries will resume in-person learning from Monday, May 11, 2026, as part of a nationwide return to classroom-based education.

The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Ministry of Education said the decision applies to all students, teachers and administrative staff in public and private institutions across both emirates.

Authorities confirmed that educational institutions will continue implementing approved safety and security protocols and procedures to ensure the smooth continuation of the educational process.

Schools have also been instructed to remain prepared to activate alternative learning models if required, depending on ongoing developments and assessments.

Coordination with institutions continues

Both authorities said coordination with schools and nurseries will continue to ensure a seamless transition back to in-person learning.

They added that any further updates will be issued through official channels.
