India’s ambitious plans to create a world-class financial centre are taking shape, as international financial institutions are drawn to a favourable banking environment and access to the country’s rapidly expanding business segment.

Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, known as GIFT City, located in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat, operates under a regulatory framework overseen by the International Financial Services Centres Authority.
