David Khrikuli Piano Recital
“王者之音” 大卫·赫里库利钢琴独奏音乐会
Billed as “Voice of Kings,” this recital shows off the formidable range of Georgian pianist David Khrikuli, whose program spans grand Romantic-era works and dazzling virtuoso pieces. Born in Tbilisi, Khrikuli began piano at eight and won his first international competition at eleven. At the 2025 International Chopin Piano Competition, his performance of works including the 24 Préludes and Piano Concerto in F minor drew praise from Gramophone for his “instinctive sense for the right tempo” and comparisons to a modern-day Cortot; though he missed the final round, he took the award for highest-scoring pianist outside the finals. He has since toured internationally with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, performing with orchestras including the Georgian Philharmonic.
Every note carries dramatic tension alongside quiet, inner feeling, a chance to hear top-tier piano artistry as Khrikuli brings timeless repertoire to life on stage, guided by a philosophy of performing in resonance with the composer.

Dance drama:
Under Siege: The Full Story of Farewell My Concubine
杨丽萍作品舞蹈剧场2026版《十面埋伏》
Choreographed by Yang Liping, this 2026 dance-theater production revisits the legendary tale of the Chu-Han war, when rival warlords Xiang Yu and Liu Bang fought for control of China after the fall of the Qin dynasty more than two thousand years ago. Besieged and outnumbered at Gaixia, Xiang Yu spent his final night with his beloved consort, Yu, before she took her own life and he broke through enemy lines to his death, a story that has endured in Chinese art and opera as the ultimate tale of love and defeat.
Told through bold, contemporary movement, the production explores the power struggles, ambition, fate and love at the heart of this pivotal moment in Chinese history. Sharp choreography, striking stage visuals and distinctive costumes conjure the tension of an ancient battlefield. Beyond the doomed romance of Xiang Yu and Consort Yu, the piece speaks to desires and conflicts that still feel strikingly modern.

Swan Lake: Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on ice
俄羅斯聖彼得堡國家冰上芭蕾舞團《天鵝湖》
The world-famous Swan Lake gets a dazzling new spin from the Saint-Petersburg State Ballet on Ice, the only company in the world that performs full-length classical ballets on real ice.
Founded nearly 60 years ago and with more than 5,000 performances worldwide, the troupe is made up not of skaters who happen to dance, but of former Russian and international figure-skating champions and elite athletes. Blending classical ballet with the grace of figure skating, this production brings Tchaikovsky’s tragic romance to life on a glittering frozen stage. Skaters glide, spin and leap across the ice to tell the story of Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried.
Classic costumes, moody lighting and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score come together for a fresh, one-of-a-kind take on a beloved classic, part Olympic-calibre figure skating, part classical Tchaikovsky ballet, and part ice-bound spectacle, with every step genuinely danced, not merely skated.
