PETALING JAYA: Legal action will be taken following a fight involving students which occurred outside an undisclosed school’s grounds, says the Kuala Lumpur Education Department.

The department said police had completed their investigation into the incident, which had allegedly taken place near a residential area.

“The department is cooperating fully with the investigation conducted by the authorities.

“There will be no compromise on any acts of violence involving students, and strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty,” it said in a press statement on Tuesday (July 21).

A number of days ago, it was reported that a brawl broke out between students in Kuala Lumpur. Clips of the fight subsequently went viral on social media.

However, the state Education Department did not provide further details on the time or exact location of the incident.

It also reminded the public not to speculate or share the identities of minors involved, as such information is protected under the law.
