Cebgo to absorb AirSWIFT operations from early 3Q26

Cebgo (DG, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) will fully take over the operations of AirSWIFT (T6, Manila Ninoy Aquino International), leading to the retirement of the boutique carrier’s brand from July 1, 2026, parent company Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) announced in an advisory. The three ATR72-600s operated by AirSWIFT will be transferred to Cebgo, while the two ATR42-600s are slated for sale, the airline confirmed exclusively to ch-aviation.

The carrier will transfer all flights currently operated under AirSWIFT’s ‘T6’ code to Cebgo’s ‘DG’. The low-cost carrier said the transition will have no impact on operations and that flights will continue to operate as scheduled.

“The AirSWIFT brand will no longer be used for commercial flying operations. The current livery will stay until the next opportune time for change,” a Cebu Pacific representative said.

AirSWIFT’s current network covers six destinations: Busuanga, Caticlan, Cebu, Panglao, El Nido and Angeles City Clark International. Some of these routes, however, have been gradually transferred to Cebgo since Cebu Pacific’s acquisition of the boutique carrier in 2024.

The airline added that it is in discussions with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines regarding the fate of the air operator’s certificate of AirSWIFT, as the two ATR42-600s remain under that certificate pending disposal.

In January 2026, ch-aviation reported that Cebu Pacific was reviewing the future of its ATR42 fleet, citing the better economics of the larger ATR72 variant.

AirSWIFT currently operates two ATR42-600s: RP-C4202 (msn 1205), inactive since January 2025, and RP-C4203 (msn 1208). It also operates three ATR72-600s: RP-C7201 (msn 1440), RP-C7202 (msn 1492), and RP-C7203 (msn 1675).

Cebu Pacific acquired a 100% stake in AirSWIFT in October 2024 after signing a share purchase agreement with Ayala Land, Inc. subsidiary ALI Capital Corp. for PHP1.75 billion Philippine pesos (USD29 million). Meanwhile, Cebgo became a subsidiary of Cebu Pacific when it acquired then-Tigerair Philippines in 2014.
