KUALA LUMPUR: Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) Sdn Bhd successfully brought together wellness, music and community spirit through Rise and Revive, a vibrant health and wellness focused community programme held at IWK Eco Park @ Pantai Dalam on a lively Sunday morning.
Organised in collaboration with Prahara Studio, the event welcomed participants of all ages and backgrounds for a rejuvenating morning filled with movement, positivity and shared purpose.
More than just a wellness gathering, Rise and Revive was held in support of IWK Care’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Sahabat Istimewa IWK, which focuses on empowering persons with disabilities (PWDs) while promoting inclusivity, accessibility and meaningful participation within the community.
Reflecting this spirit of inclusivity, beneficiaries and members from Persatuan Kebajikan Ahsana Kuala Lumpur (PKAKL) and Malaysia Federation of the Deaf (MFD) joined the day’s wellness activities alongside other participants, contributing to a lively and uplifting atmosphere throughout the park.
Adding to the meaningfulness of the event, it was announced that RM8,330 was raised through ticket sales and would be fully donated to both organisations, drawing cheers and smiles from participants.
“This is more than a wellness gathering. This is about building a more inclusive and engaged community through meaningful experiences while giving back to society.
“Through Rise and Revive, we are proud to create a platform where people can connect, stay active and move with purpose.
“It truly embodies the spirit of ‘moving for a cause’, reflecting IWK’s commitment through our Sahabat Istimewa IWK initiative,” said IWK’s corporate communications department head Wan Esuriyanti Wan Ahmad.
Set against the lush greenery of IWK Eco Park @ Pantai Dalam, the morning came alive with an exciting line-up of wellness activities led by celebrity coaches. From a rejuvenating yoga session with Atilia Haron to high-energy Flyjam by Mimifly and invigorating Poundfit with Hanis, participants moved with energy and determination, filling the venue with a vibrant and
uplifting atmosphere.
“When Rise and Revive first came about, it was rooted in a simple intention; creating a space where wellness meets purpose. It’s not just about movement, but about bringing people together in a meaningful and grounding way. Seeing it come to life in support of Sahabat Istimewa IWK makes it even more special, reminding me that wellness can extend beyond ourselves and positively impact the community,” said Atilia Haron.
Singer-songwriter and wellness advocates – Atilia, Mimifly and Hanis – share a common vision with IWK in championing inclusivity and community empowerment, lending their support to the company’s Sahabat Istimewa IWK initiative.
“I’ve always tried to make my performances more inclusive in my own way, including gesture based movements inspired by sign language in my choreography. Being part of Sahabat Istimewa IWK makes that even more meaningful, celebrating movement, music and inclusivity together. When we move with awareness of one another, we move forward together,” said Mimifly.
Beyond the workout session, participants also explored a vibrant marketplace featuring local vendors offering artisanal products, wellness essentials and lifestyle items, adding to the event’s lively community experience.
The morning concluded on a high note with special live performances by Mimifly and Atilia Haron, bringing Rise and Revive to an energetic and memorable close.
The success of Rise and Revive reflects IWK’s on-going commitment through its Sahabat Istimewa IWK programme to create impactful community initiatives that promote inclusivity, accessibility and healthier lifestyles for all.
