Mandopop king Jay Chou to return to Malaysia in 2027 ‘Carnival II’ World Tour concert

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — Taiwanese star Jay Chou will return to perform in Malaysia on January 23, 2027 (Saturday) at 7.30pm at the TM National Stadium as part of his “Carnival II” World Tour.

The concert will introduce the world’s first “One City, One Theme” concept, celebrating Chou’s musical legacy by featuring timeless classics alongside brand-new hits from his 25-year career — all brought to life through a completely renewed grand concert experience.

The singer-songwriter is widely regarded as one of the biggest and most influential figures in the world of Mandopop.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Chou has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and continues to perform to sold-out stadiums across the globe.

He has returned to Malaysia many times since his first visit in 2002 the most recent being in 2024 then named Bukit Jalil National Stadium, that drew around 60,000 fans.

Chou has also showcased his acting talent in films such as Initial D playing the lead role, followed by titles like Curse of the Golden Flower, and even Hollywood features like The Green Hornet and Now You See Me 2.

Fans nationwide are expected to swarm the stadium once again as the King of Mandopop prepares to ignite the stage for his Malaysian supporters.
