FAIR HAVEN, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce hosted the 20th annual Fair Haven Car Show Saturday around the town green, drawing more than 100 vehicles.
Organizers said the event started with just seven cars and has grown steadily over the years. Admission was free for spectators, who browsed classic cars and trucks while listening to live music. Drivers paid $15 to enter their vehicles for judging.
Kerry Fowler of Fair Haven said the cars on display have a character that draws people in.
“Now these cars here at a glance you know what that is. That’s an automobile, that’s an old Chevelle. They all have that character and what not so it’s really great to see them come out for this,” Fowler said.
Fowler said the event draws a range of visitors.
“Beautiful day like this you get a lot of people that just walk through once and take a look. I think they appreciate it,” he said.
