Dubai Basketball moved within one win of the ABA League title after defeating Partizan in Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead. Dzanan Musa and Aleksa Avramovic led the way for Dubai, which pulled away in the fourth quarter and held off a late Partizan comeback attempt.

Dubai Basketball took a commanding 2-0 lead in the ABA League Finals after defeating Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade 86-81 in Game 2 on Saturday.

After another tightly contested battle through three quarters, Dubai pulled away in the final period and moved within one victory of capturing the ABA League championship.

Partizan started strongly and held a 24-20 advantage after the opening quarter. The second period followed a similar pattern, with both teams exchanging leads throughout the half. Nick Calathes tied the game at 42-42 just before the break, sending the teams into halftime deadlocked.

The back-and-forth continued in the third quarter. Neither side managed to create separation, but Dubai entered the final period with a narrow 68-66 lead.

The game changed in the fourth quarter.

Dubai found another gear on both ends of the floor, building a double-digit advantage and stretching its lead to 82-69. Partizan responded with a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to six points at 84-78, but Dubai stayed in control down the stretch and closed out the victory.

Dzanan Musa and Aleksa Avramovic both led Dubai offensively with 16 points, while Mfiondu Kabengele chipped in with 13.

For Partizan, Bruno Fernando finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Carlik Jones contributed 15 points and six assists in the losing effort.

Dubai will now head into Game 3 with a 2-0 series lead and a chance to complete the sweep and secure the ABA League title.
