In a significant stride towards a cleaner Delhi, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa revealed on Thursday that hundreds of specialized litter picker machines, affectionately termed ‘gobblers’, have been deployed across the capital. This move forms part of a broader initiative by the Delhi government to maintain sanitary conditions in the city.
Minister Sirsa, sharing the news via social media platform X, emphasized the administration’s dedication under the leadership of the Chief Minister to fortifying Delhi’s cleaning system. The deployment of these machines symbolizes a step forward in achieving the vision of a ‘Clean Delhi, Healthy Delhi’ for its residents.
The litter pickers have been strategically positioned in numerous key locations. These include areas in central, north, and south Delhi such as Connaught Place, Janpath, and Khan Market, among others. The initiative reflects a proactive effort to improve urban living conditions, making the capital a healthier and tidier place to inhabit.
