APAC data center firm has topped out the first building at its new campus outside Jakarta, Indonesia.

Digital Edge has officially topped out CGK1, the first building at its CGK Campus at GIIC, Bekasi. The facility is set for a Q4 2026 delivery date.

“This milestone marks the completion of the building’s main structure and reflects strong execution progress as we move closer to service readiness,” the company said on LinkedIn this week. “CGK1 is part of Digital Edge’s long‑term commitment to developing scalable, resilient, and AI‑ready digital infrastructure in Indonesia.”

Digital Edge announced plans for the 1GW campus, located at the GIIC Industrial Estate outside Jakarta, earlier this year. The first building is set to be operational by Q4 2026, followed by the second in Q1 2027 and the third in Q2 2027. The first four buildings are set to offer 500MW.

Digital Edge was formed by New York-based private equity firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in August 2020.

The data center developer entered Indonesia in 2021, following the acquisition of a majority stake in Indonet. At the time, Indonet had one 6MW facility in Jakarta, with a second opening in 2024 and offering 23MW.

The developer has around 25 data centers in operation and under construction, with more than 1.1GW of IT power across Japan, Korea, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The GIIC, or Greenland International Industrial Center, is in Bekasi, a city to the east of Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital. It has a total area of 2,100 hectares and is home to 170 tenants, most of whom are Japanese manufacturing firms.
