GAC Hyptech and Aion, an important new energy vehicle arm of GAC Group, has become a strategic partner of the Guangdong City Football Super League after signing a sponsorship agreement with the tournament”s organizing committee on Tuesday.

The company will provide comprehensive support for all teams during the tournament, which spans 21 cities across the province, according to the company.

The opening match of the tournament is scheduled at the Yuexiushan stadium in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Saturday.

“In collaboration with the tournament’s organizing committee, we aim to support all teams participating in the tournament,” Zhang Xiong, president of GAC Hyptech and Aion BU, said.

With more sponsorship from companies, the tournament will have greater potential for growth and sustainability, according to Chen Yuliang, a retired legendary player of Guangdong.

“If more companies get involved in amateur tournaments, it would be a significant boost for soccer development,” he said.
