Travelers Say These Bunion-friendly Sandals Are the ‘Perfect Alternative’ to Sneakers for Extensive Walking

  • Quince recently restocked its highly rated Italian Leather Fisherman Sandals, which have hundreds of five-star ratings.
  • Travelers have worn these sandals around the world, including Bali, Budapest, and New York.
  • Grab a pair in black, brandy, or bone.

When sneakers are too hot and stuffy, comfortable sandals come to the rescue. However, finding a pair that is both supportive and chic can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. So, when shoppers say they can walk in a style for hours, we take notes.

If you have a trip planned and want more than just sneakers, consider adding Quince’s Italian Leather Fisherman Sandals to your rotation—or even using them as your main pair. One reviewer who forgot their athletic shoes walked miles in these sandals while on vacation and called them “the perfect alternative.” But don’t wait too long to grab them, the quick-to-sell-out style just restocked in all three colors.

The upper is crafted from Italian cow leather for an elevated look, while the outsole provides ample traction and stability on a variety of surfaces, including cobblestone streets. Even better, the 4-millimeter Ortholite insole offers extra cushioning and arch support for walking, and reviewers agree, calling it “the most comfortable shoe.” Hundreds of travelers (over 300 to be exact) gave the sandals a five-star rating and wore them to Sicily, New York, and Bali.

One customer took them on a trip to Budapest and reported walking “more than 15,000 steps” with “no discomfort or blistering.” This comes as no surprise since the sandals’ closed-toe design keeps feet protected in crowds, and the functional buckle strap is easily adjustable while sightseeing and exploring.

Meanwhile, the non-slip sole and back strap help keep your foot secure during extended walks. Even buyers with bunions have given them their stamp of approval, noting they’re “soft and cushioned” and “comfortable from day one,” so there’s no break-in period required. If you’ve been considering splurging on a similar style from a luxury brand, think again. Another customer admitted they “might like them even more than the original designer pair” because they “mold to your feet.”

The Quince Italian Leather Fisherman Sandals come in black, brandy, and cognac, and their flat design means they won’t take up much space in your suitcase. To make sure you get your preferred color in time for your next trip, consider picking up a pair now. If you’re looking for additional summer travel shoes, we’ve also rounded up more of the brand’s comfortable sandals—including a lug sole version.
