Digital cinema software provider Unique X and Imagica Entertainment Media Services (Imagica EMS), the market leader in Japan for post-production and media services, today announced the signing of a full long-term agreement, building upon their original Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This strategic partnership establishes a robust framework for an exclusive collaboration aimed at transforming and developing the cinema advertising business within the Japanese market. Under the terms of the finalized agreement, Imagica EMS, including its affiliated entities, will represent and assist Unique X in offering its sophisticated suite of products to sales agencies, exhibitors, and consumer brands in Japan.

The collaboration will initially focus on Unique X’s flagship advertising management solution, AdvertisingAccord (AA), along with its advanced programmatic and self-service portal modules. This technology is designed to bring new levels of efficiency, optimization, and monetization to the theatrical advertising supply chain. Today advertising accord delivers 1.2 billion cinema ad spots around the world annually, helping agencies and exhibitors maximize advertising revenue. Furthermore, the partnership will support Imagica EMS in representing Unique X’s wider portfolio of cinema-related solutions, including the RosettaBridge Theatre Management System and RosettaNet Circuit Management System, part of a comprehensive suite of products that provides tools for film distributors and exhibitors to streamline digital cinema operations and content delivery.

Roger Harris, CEO of Unique X, stated: “We are delighted to announce the finalization of our long-term agreement with Imagica EMS. Entering the Japanese market with a partner of such prestige, market knowledge, and excellence of reputation is a significant milestone. We look forward to further expanding our business with Imagica EMS across our portfolio of software solutions.”

Tadashi Aota, President & CEO of Imagica EMS, commented: “This long-term agreement marks an exciting collaboration that unites two industry leaders in digital cinema technology and services. Our work with Unique X over the past months has fully convinced us that their sophisticated software suite is the key to unlocking new efficiencies and revenue streams for our clients.”
